“Electricity…Energy for Life”

EGCO Group, the Thailand’s first Independent Power Producer and Doi Inthanon National Park continually instill energy and environmental conservation consciousness by inviting the new generation aged between 14 and 18 years to enter the photography or the painting competition on the theme “Electricity…Energy for Life”. Those selected will be eligible to participate in the 29-30th EGCO Thai Forest Conservation Youth Camp at Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai. Deadline for the photography submission is January 31, 2009.

Mr.Wuthichai Sithipreedanant, EGCO’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications, mentioned that “EGCO Thai Forest Conservation Youth Camp is one of EGCO Group’s environmental conservation projects which has been running for twelfth consecutive year by focusing on instilling energy and environmental conservation consciousness in the mind of young people continuously. All camp activities are offering young people an opportunity to get close to nature and learn about the importance of natural resources as well as balanced living. There were around 1,900 young people all over Thailand joined the EGCO youth camp during the preceding project period.”

For the new generation aged between 14 and 18 years who are interested should submit a photography or painting on the theme “Electricity…Energy for Life” together with photo name and share their concept or inspiration about 5-8 lines for A4 page to win a place in the 29-30th EGCO Thai Forest Conservation Youth Camp. Seventy finalists per session will join the five days and four nights camp in March 2009 at Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai and enjoy activities in and out of the classroom such as introduction to forest conservation, natural resources, bird watching guide, celestial navigation, and trekking etc.
