To accommodate the growth of the HORECA industry, ASIA HORECA Co., Ltd., or Asia HORECA, announced a soft launch of the “HORECA Square” which is a wholesale and retail center for business operators in hotel, restaurant, coffee shop, bakery, and catering service industries. HORECA Square currently occupies the3rd-5thfloors of the CW Tower on Ratchadapisek Road.

Mrs. LaddaMongkolchaivivat, Managing Director of ASIA HORECA Co., Ltd., revealed that HORECA Square was created based on research findings and needs of business people. The main concept of this shopping center is to provide a full range of services and solutions to every demand, in other words, Total Solution. The center serves as a business consultant, a product supplier, a wholesale and retail marketplace, a business learning center, a convention center, and a co-working space for entrepreneurs. HORECA Square is open daily from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm, and its main targets are HORECA entrepreneurs and real estate operators, such as condominium or apartment owners, as well as people of younger generations who want to start a business.

The HORECA Square area is located on the 3rd and 5th floors and covers ​​12,000 square meters which are divided into:

3rd Floor: The innovative HORECA wholesale center offers a wide selection of products and services including cleaning equipment, special fiber clothing for HORECA business, furniture, kitchenware and dining set, interior and exterior furniture HORECA businesses, business management programs, coffee shop business and distribution assistance, travel service assistance, and design and decoration service.

4thFloor: The HORECA Community Learning Center is an information and business development center for HORECA entrepreneurs. There is a business clinic with experts who are available to give advice. There are a business matching center, a cooking school, a meeting space that can accommodates 4-50 people, and co-working spaces for start-up entrepreneurs and SMEs, as well as an exhibition space for products, services, and innovations in the HORECA industry.

5th Floor: The wholesale center from manufacturers and distributors from around the world covers more than 10,000 products such as tableware, kitchen utensils, furniture, bedding and linen products, hospitality tools and hotel supplies, electronic appliances, uniforms, kitchen equipment, buffetware, coffee and bakery lines and etc. Products from leading international brands such Lacor from Spain, Sanell Ambrogio, Imperia and FAMA from Italy, Matfer, Santos and Roller Grill from France, Nayati from Indonesia, Madin from Taiwan, and Thai brand such as [link] are sold here at special wholesale prices. Moreover, there are services’ solution including kitchen design and plan, installation and delivery, maintenance and hotline to meet the HORECA entrepreneurs’ requirement.

Regarding the year 2017’s target, ASIA HORECA expects to generate a turnover of 182.5 million baht and to push the HORECA business in SMEs and startup sectors to grow by at least 7% per year.

The tourism sector has played an important role in supporting the expansion of the HORECA business. In the past year, tourism revenue totaled 2,510,779 million baht, an increase of 11.09%. Of this revenue, foreign tourism (foreigners coming to Thailand) accounted for 1,641,268 million baht, growing up by 12.64% while domestic tourism (Thais travelling in Thailand) accounted for 869,510 million baht, climbing up by 8.27%. In addition, there were 32.58 million foreign tourists coming to Thailand, which is an 8.91% increase from the previous year. According to the ranking of the 100 most attractive cities in the world 2017 by Euro monitor International, Bangkok was second only to Hong Kong. Meanwhile, in 2015 there were 106.84million Thai tourists, an increase of 8% from the year 2014.

“Furthermore, the 10-year airport development plan has been approved with a budget of 400bn baht to elevate Thailand as the airport hub of the region. The plan will result in Thailand’s being able to accommodate up to 277 million passengers a year, more than double of the current figure. Also, the stimulation of foreign tourists in the upper market will help promote the hotel business which expects to earn as much as 574,000 baht, and expand by 5.5%. Four-star hotels and boutique hotels or theme hotels are likely to be particularly active. Businesses in restaurants, cafes, bakeries, ice cream parlors, and catering services could expand by up to 9%. Currently, there are 11,945 registered operators in these business segments, accounting for 77,423 million baht, and 99.72% of the total registered operators are SMEs owners,” added Mrs. Ladda Mongkolchaivivat.

To stimulate shopping and spending among HORECA operators during the soft launch, HORECA Square is offering 30%-40% discount on all items on the whole 5thfloor between June and July 2016.
